Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
Item upgrading is a key element to maximize your gearing potential. It lets you add extra bonus stats on top of your base level item's value.
Each upgrade template comes with an array of options that can be changed by using the edition GUI. These options include the upgrading reference and the possibility of upgrading.
Upgrade components
As part of the 2.0 update the system for upgrading the armor and weapons in Cyberpunk was redesigned. Upgrade components are scattered across Night City. The item you'd like to upgrade should also include an upgrade slot. The game will display an overview of the expected stats for the item after upgrading. It will also show the component or material needed. If you don't have the required level or resource to upgrade an item the button will say "Blocked."
